Working with Professional Executives
We work closely with professionals and executives within industry, we are members of professional bodies and play an active part in working with them; as committee members, sponsors, trusted business advisors and as executive recruitment partners.
The Institute of Directors (IoD)
Representing over 650 individuals from all sectors of the business community, both private and public sectors, IoD Jersey represents their local members' views and concerns to government, whilst having professional business support whenever it is required.
The local branch promotes the business sector and strives through lobbying to ensure that political decisions do not stifle local business and free enterprise.
Shelley sits on the committee of the IoD, Jersey and is the Chair for the IoD Work Shadowing Scheme.
Jersey Association of Directors and Officers (JADO)
JADO was established in 2011 to represent individuals acting as Directors or Principal Persons as well as other company officers within Jersey. It’s aim to provide a unique forum for member communications as well as a conduit for information flow between industry and local bodies such as Jersey Finance Limited and the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
JADO strives to be a well informed organisation that works with industry, regulators and legislators in Jersey to maintain clear communication and the highest standards of corporate governance amongst its members.
We are members of JADO and were proud to sponsor the Annual Black Tie Dinner in 2015.
The Board Apprentice Scheme
The scheme was initiated by independent executive NED Charlotte Valeur. The issue of board diversity is being discussed around the world, with a current emphasis on gender diversity. Many countries have implemented quotas to force the issue; The Board Apprentice Scheme offers an immediate solution, by introducing apprentices into the boardrooms of UK and Channel Islands companies. Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate Plc., a Jersey domiciled FTSE250 company, were the first to agree to take on a Board Apprentice in 2014.
Shelley sits on the selection committee of Board Apprentice Ltd, a non-profit company that offers an immediate solution to the lack of diversity in boardrooms by mentoring rising stars and developing future board members.
Jersey Community Relations Trust (JCRT)
The Trust is committed to supporting women in helping them to achieve their career ambitions in business. We sponsored the initial launch of the Women in Business programme, with guest speaker, entrepreneur, Jo Fairley, founder of Green & Blacks Chocolate.

Jersey Chamber of Commerce
Chamber is the largest employer representative body in the Island, a vibrant association of members from all business sectors who are dedicated to the promotion of trade, commerce and the general prosperity of Jersey. Chamber is completely self funded by its membership, quite autonomous of Government and is able to express an independent view.
We are members of Chamber and regularly attend the insightful monthly lunches.
Network Jersey
Network Jersey provides the opportunity for anyone and everyone to connect with others in a friendly, social environment conducive to business and social networking. This is done through regular events both formal and informal that people want to attend rather than need to attend.
Network Jersey is also set up as a Not-for-Profit Organisation (NPO) which means that any surplus profits will go to local charities. It has a rolling monthly networking event calendar, with something happening almost every week at some of Jersey’s best venues.
Shelley is a member of the Network Jersey co-ordinating team with responsibilities for events management and charity engagement.
